Orchard Hill Cider Mill, aka the Tap Room (and formerly known as the Tasting Room lol), is just next to our store in a converted pole barn (you'd never guess that!). For a long time (and we're not sure how) a lot of people didn't even notice it!
But that's changing, as folks are discovering the lovely atmosphere inside and patio outside, great drinks and delicious menu - which features Soons-grown produce and homemade goodies, of course.
The brainchild of Jeff Soons, Andrew Emig and Karl DuHoffman, "OH" as we call it, is making fantastic dry ciders and an award-winning pommeau (think apple brandy). Stop by for a tasting to see what you like best.
Thanks to changes in NYS laws a few years back, OH has a farm winery license, which allows us to retail not just the cider, but New York State wines, spirits and beer too! General manager Donnan Sutherland and the Tap Room team mix up a fantastic cocktails too, using many ingredients Donnan makes from scratch (believe us, you can taste the difference!)
OH has also been hosting events, including rehearsal dinners, showers, birthdays and even a few weddings. It's a special place perfect for special occasions!
P.S. For folks making their own hard ciders, we can do bulk apple cider for you. Just bring in your carboy/container and we'll fill it on our next pressing.
